  • Saved us from a lot of tears.
When our baby was learning to sit up she would wake up and sit up to grab her pacifier then fall backwards to go back to sleep but she would smash her head on our cribs wooden slats and start crying, then we would have to go through a whole process to get her back to sleep. We decided to give this crib a try and it has been wonderful. No longer hurts herself against slats and basically just bounces off the mesh if she falls especially now that she is trying to stand and walk. Wasn’t too difficult to set up, just make sure you follow the directions and take your time, I did rip some of the fabric in one spot trying to get it over a metal bar, so I wish that was a little more durable but the section I ripped did not have any affect on the overall finished set up. This takes a full size crib mattress so if your looking for portability this is probably not the best option as you would still have to lug around the mattress; however, if you are taking a long trip and want a legitimate crib to bring somewhere this could work. Just note, this is not as nearly as easy to assemble and disassemble as a pack and play or something like that but definitely is more comfortable for baby. I saw some review where someone had said their baby fell or got stuck between the mesh and mattress which I just don’t see how that would be possible unless they didn’t completely follow the directions for putting it together or used the wrong size mattress. Also I think I saw some that complained the crib had some sort of odor when they received it, however, the one we received was odor free. Overall great product in my opinion, we use this as our main crib, and I would recommend it. ... show more

  • This is NOT an easy portable crib to put together and tear down.
This is NOT an easy portable crib to put together and tear down. We used this a Christmas and again recently only to struggled again, with putting it together and taking apart. It is a poor portable crib. If you put it together and leave up, it is okay, put if you expect to put up and take down, you will find it difficult. The closing mechanisms are not of quality. Not worth the money. ... show more

  • Worked perfectly for our needs: soft sides full size
I love this crib because it was literally the only one that did what we needed it to do, which in our case was have soft sides and fit a full-sized mattress. The mesh sides keep my baby from wrapping his legs all around the wooden slats, as well as from falling over as he likes to do and banging his head on the wood. Using a full sized regular crib mattress obviously allows for more comfort and a bigger space. Set up was honestly a breeze for me and probably took all of ten minutes, and no tools. In case you’re wondering: - the mesh does stretch a little bit so it may create a small pocket to try and stick your face into. The crib is JPMA certified for safety, and our baby slept in a bassinet when he was smaller, so I am okay with it for those reasons. The walls are stretchier than solid wood, but much more taut than our mesh play yard. - Is this thing portable? Yes and no. It fits into a duffel bag. If you’re in between babies and need to store it, you might lose it in your closet. If you want to transport it, you don’t need a u-haul. Heck, you could hop on the bus with this thing without getting so much as a second glance from anyone. With that being said, would I want to travel with this? Probably not. It’s lighter than most regular cribs, but heavier than tons of travel cribs. It’s also more annoying than other travel cribs to put together. Set up was easy, but not I-wanna-do-this-every-night easy. Most importantly, the biggest advantage of this thing over other mesh cribs is that it fits a full-sized crib mattress, and those are usually not very portable at all. The crib does come with a thinner mattress pad that conveniently folds into the duffel bag as well, but I doubt it’s much better than other travel cribs out there. My advice would be: if you want to bring your child’s actual full sized crib somewhere with you for whatever reason, this is the crib to do it with. If, however, you’re looking for an easy-to-set-up crib to travel around with, I would look into bigger play yards as an alternative. - The crib sits up off the floor, which I like, so the baby is not on the floor directly, but it does only have the lowest mattress height setting, so you have to bend down pretty low to pick up and put down LO. - The crib is not easy to climb out of. Depending on your child, they may or may not get out, but the mesh gives way more than wood, and climbing out is a challenge. - The top and bottom parts are metal. That makes the crib extra sturdy, although the carcass is pretty hard. In our case though, the walls are high enough where my baby does not chew it or hit his head on it. - As every other reviewer said, instructions are there, they’re inside a dedicated crib pouch. Overall, it’s been a great crib for us, and I would recommend it. ... show more

  • Mesh Crib for Toddler
Most of the reviews complain about this not being portable. I definitely agree that it is not portable (which should be understood before purchasing because it says you need to insert a full size crib mattress for it to work...not sure if anyone who travels carries around a crib mattress.) I purchased this for my 2 year old because she wouldn't stop chewing on her regular wooden crib. She is extremely tall and still sleeps in the crib comfortably. The size and height of the walls is great. My only complaint with the crib is the zipper quality. It was very easy to assemble however the zippers are difficult to use. Overall I'm pleased with the product (again not portable) but still a great alternative to wooden cribs. ... show more

  • Best purchase ever
This has been one of the best purchases ever. My baby was constantly bonking his head on the sides of the wooden crib so I found this crib and decided to buy it. He still moves around so much in his sleep but no more bruises. He used to wake up crying after hitting his head, but no more! Love this crib. ... show more

  • When “no tools” is actually a bad thing
Listen, this thing might be great is you build it once and never need to move it. I built this while my husband was at work and it wasn’t THAT easy but, I did it. Then as I went to move it from the living room to the bedroom, I realized it can’t fit through the door. Okay, bummer but shouldn’t be an issue. NOPE, it seems maybe impossible. Even with two people. We still can’t get the final bar off the bottom to take this thing down. I would be absolutely returning this if my husband didn’t BLEED ALL OVER IT from trying to take out the bars on the bottom. So maybe this is great if it’s expected to be your main crib! But I do NOT recommend if you want to move it…ever. Photo of me trying to make up some way to keep the little buttons down to try and get the last bar up. I’ve never wanted to use a screwdriver so badly. ... show more
