This is MUCH larger than anticipated! It is large enough that, when stuffed, Mom, 5 year old AND the family black lab fit comfortably to read books! It easily fit the half-a-bed's worth of stuffed animals, plus a few out of season heavy blankets. It was not comfortable for the adult, but the kid and dog were fine.
