This toy is definitely tough but we are not sure about the brown part--it is pretty hard and we don't want to risk our dogs breaking their teeth (had that happen in the past on a hard nylabone, and we're talking a healthy German Shepherd with strong teeth). Chew toy is now 4 months old, I have a very large German Shepherd Dog and he shreds anything i put in front of him...but this. He chews on it daily but after 4 months has yet been able to even make a tooth mark in it. If you have a very aggressive chewer, this is a toy that will last and last!

I have two Cane Corso's that can tear up the world, eat walls, door frames you name it. We have had a hard time finding toys they can't tear up in a week. They seem to really like this toy. It can stand up to their chewing and their tug of wars. Good Job on this one!

My puppy had high interest in this chew toy immediately and within 30 minutes had bitten a small piece off of it, so itโ€™s not chew proof; however, it is durable and sturdy overall, and great for putting peanut butter on to occupy a dog for a bit and the design is conducive for cleaning their teeth.
