This toy is great for aggressive chewers. The “bone” ends are nylon and will eventually become very prickly….that’s what cleans the dog’s teeth. The middle part is rubber and seems quite durable. However, I wasn’t able to insert treats between the pointy sections for a couple reasons: 1: The points are quite tough and hard to move. All of our treats are too large and wouldn’t fit. 2. If I had been able to squeeze a treat into that area, I’m concerned that my dog would have to tear off the points to get the treat out. Even small treats that might fit could still be difficult for the dog to get out. I definitely don’t want my dog to tear off small, tough pieces of rubber, since she’d probably swallow them. Then I’d have to throw it away. As for a chew toy, I recommend this product. But I wouldn’t try hiding treats in it! ... show more

My dog immediately did not want me to touch her bone! LOL! She LOVES it! It has a beefy flavor to it which I could not smell but my dog could definitely taste! It makes a cool sound when you move it which intrigued my dog. It is definitely made of a tough nylon material and is little over 6.5" long. My dog is a medium sized dog and this is a perfect fit for her - I don't have to worry about her choking on anything. The spikey rings in the middle MOVE which is cool for a few reasons - first, it makes it that much more interesting to my pup. Second, it helps that the spikes are moving so she can't ever "focus" on a single spot to try to destroy. Third, the spikes moving should definitely help with keeping her teeth "clean" from debris. Fourth, it makes it a superfun challenging game if you squeeze doggy snack paste or peanut butter in between the grooves of the rings. It keeps my dog occupied for a long time! And of course the best part is that it is dishwasher safe!!!!! So after all that chewing and peanut butter - I know I can get it cleaned up real well for the next time. Great dog toy! I could see this being really useful for dog car trips to keep her occupied, for giving it to her as a treat every day, for helping her with her teeth and just keeping her spirits up with such a great toy! ... show more

My dog qualifies as an aggressive chewer. Destroying toys is one of her most loved past times. And while i wouldn't call the Apasiri Dog Toy indestructible, it is holding up well. I think the Apasiri is a good value for the money. Presented with the chewing toy, my dog took it instantly and started a heavy chewing session. So I guess the advertised flavor is for real and attractive. Over the next week or so, the dog kept playing with or better chewing on the tool about once a day. She concentrated on one side (clever dog) for maximum impact. But the toy did stand up to the use. Ultimately, I guess, the dog will destroy the tool. But it seems it will take longer than with other tools. So I give the toy 5 stars. The dog likes it, it is holding up better than other toys. In my eyes this makes the Apasiri a good value for the money and deserves the maximum rating. ... show more

My dog is a Labrador Retriever who loves to chew! However, he destroys all his toys as soon as he gets them (within hours) and I'm sick of picking up white stuffing everywhere, so I thought I'd give this a try. As soon as I took the bone out, I noticed it was heavy and seemed very durable. It had color and a variety of textures. My dog took to it right away, so it must have had a pleasing smell/taste/texture to him. He has now had it for several days. He has put quite a few tooth marks into it and is wearing it away on the edges a bit, but it has lasted incredibly well so far because he chews on it for hours. It is also now his preferred toy and he carries it with him everywhere he goes. It is dog and owner approved. I recommend this dog bone for anyone who has a large dog breed who chews everything! ... show more

This is one of those dog chew toys that claims to be highly durable, and actually is. I have 3 very large dogs (115 - 160 pounds) and sometimes I am fooled by advertising claims. The dogs are not fooled for a second! Despite how sturdy this is, it also has a very interesting ball in the middle with a crevice full of nubs, which will clean their teeth and massage their gums, and hopefully keep them interested. I say hopefully because I haven't given it to them yet, I am saving it for a Christmas present, but I know what they like. If you have a dog (or 2) that chews his toys aggressively, and you want more than just one afternoon of fun, this should be a good choice. ... show more

My dog loves this and loves that it moves around in the middle so far she seems to be entertained with this and its been about a week of her going at it and she still hasnt broken it. It is TOUGH!!
