On this day, November 12, 2021, it's been a little over a year since originally purchasing my Ancheer Bluespark e-bike. I'm writing this for one main reason. The customer support from this company has always been there for me the entire time since my purchase. You can be assured they will not leave you without assistance, even a year later. The bike itself has not given me any trouble and still runs like new. However, due to my own carelessness, the bike fell over months ago and the LCD unit was damaged and cracked open. Due to the numerous amounts of times I've gotten flat tires (the roads in my area are not kept clean and are full of debris) I've had it turned upside down many times which has caused the display to come unattached from itself several times. Upon one reassembly the small lead cable connecting it must have had its final complete reconnection and could no longer transmit information correctly to the rest of the bike. This resulted in an error code 30, which in turn would constantly shut the bike off every 30 or so seconds. Quite annoying to say the least. I thought it was a cable that might have gone bad, but figured I'd start by replacing the LCD unit first in hopes that was the problem. I wasn't very hopeful that the unit was actually sold separately tbh. However, after contacting customer support, for like the 3rd time I have in the last year, I was happy that they were able to contact the suppliers and created a link for me to purchase it. I ordered it immediately and received it today. Very happy to announce that the old display was indeed the problem and due to this sellers continued support, and quick solutions, my bike is now running as it should once again. The bike itself was not difficult to assemble initially and fixing a flat really only needs an adjustable wrench to remove the back tire. The front one is equipped with a quick release mechanism and needs no tools, other than of course the ones needed to remove the tire from the wheel. This bike is perfect for getting around where I need to go and has endured the rain it's been through many times. I have to say it really has performed reliably, better, and longer than I thought it would. The battery life still remains constant and has been recharged hundreds of times. The brake pads are easy to replace and have only needed it once so far. The LCD display shows speed, mileage, trip distance, peddle assist level and more. The best features of this e-bike are having a throttle as well as 5 levels of peddle assistance. The fact that without any assistance it's just like any regular bicycle. It has front shocks that can be turned on or off with adjustable degrees of shock resistance. To name a few of the features I enjoy. Not to mention it just looks cool. I've gotten so many looks and questions on where I got it, I feel like a seller lol. If I had 25 cards I would have given them all out by now. So, if you're wondering if purchasing an e-bike from this seller would be a good idea, I can only say yes 100% it would be. They really have gone above and beyond what has come to the non-existent support of so many other companies of today. ... show more

I've had this bike for 4 days and put about 30 miles on it with no problems! The seat is terrible but I figured it would be so I ordered another that will be here soon. I'll probably never go on any difficult trail as I'll be riding it to work and back daily (about 11 miles round trip). There are a few big hills in San Francisco, and a lot of small hills and the power assist is really cool! The battery life is less than I hoped but still will be fine for my needs. It came with a headlight that was junk so I bought another one. I put a back rack and saddlebags on it for my laptop and work clothes and it all seems to be working great! I'd guess that within 6 months 2 others in my household will be buying the same thing. I haven't figured out how to view the screen in MPH instead of KPH, but I'm dealing with it. It has disk brakes and i'm having difficulty finding replacement pads... maybe they never wear out? I donno…. Overall I live this bike and would highly recommend it!!! 11 months later I've been riding this bike to and from work, 15 mile round trip with 4 really big hills, and still enjoying it. The battery is losing it's umph and needs to be charged twice a day and probably soon will need to be replaced. I finally found brake pads that nearly fit, and I was able to machine them down to the proper size. I've just had a bump in the road: Heading out to work I noticed the charger light was not showing green and I assumed I had forgotten to plug it in the night before. No, it was fully charged so I headed out. In a half mile in the whole bike went dead and would not come back on. Went back home and plugged it in, the bike came on and showed a full charge. I took the bus to work that day but the next day the exact same thing happened again. It's nearly impossible to ride this bike without the power because you are dragging the motorized wheel along like a little kid on roller skates. It's doable, but really hard on any hill and you'll never get it over 10 mph. I've contatcted Ancheer and finally got a reply to my email... no one has returned any phone message I have left. This may be a battery issue but I don't want to spend $385 if the bike is shot. I'm looking for local shops who diagnose these things and I may be on to one, we'll see. The person answering my email only asked for my Amazon order number, but I hope they will have some advice for me. Maybe it's just a software reset, I'm hoping. I was told by another user that the factory battery has a lifetime of 800 cycles, meaning you can charge it 800 times and then it's shot. I'm on about 600 since I have to charge it morning and evening. There is an aftermarket replacement that says it's good for 1,000 recharges... Continued: I spoke to a very nice man at an Ebike repair shop and he told me that without question my battery was dead and needed to be replaced. I ordered a different brand that is the same size and shape and it uses the better and newer samsung batteries for only $220.00. I had to rewire it to fit my bike which was pretty simple but took an hour of mostly double checking as I didn't want to fry my bike controller. It works great again, I am back on the road. After doing a lot of reading I've learned it is essential to give the bike a full charge before using it the first time (which I didn't do originally). In fact, the first 5 or 6 charges are very important for the live of the battery. The original battery was good for 800 cycles, or charges, but I probably brought that down to 600 cycles because of sloppy charging practices. My new battery is good for 1,000 cycles and by not overcharging it It'll probably last me 14 to 16 months which is not bad for $220.00; I'd spend $2500.00 on bus fair in that same time. I've put 3,500 miles on this bike in just over a year and except the battery problems it has been an exceptional purchase. Fixing flats is easy, the brakes and shifting apparatus are all Shimano brand which is great quality, I just bought a new chain for $17.00 and will install it soon, while I'm at it I'll probably replace the brake pads so I don't have to deal with it later. Those two items, besides normal tire and tube replacement, are the only things that have worn out on my bike! I have huge saddle bags on a custom made (by me) bike rack and I regularly carry all kinds of heavy things to and from work, I ride in the fog often, but never in the rain, up steep hills and back down, and this bike has just kept going! When I replace a tube I lovingly wipe the whole bike down to make it look new again, and it really does mostly look like it did out of the box. Very good quality paint. ... show more

    • Great bike, poorly written instructions
Based upon the features and the reviews, I purchased this bike for my wife's birthday. The bike has plenty of power to climb hills and has a long battery life. The seat is comfortable and it's easy to ride in either pedal assist mode or by using the throttle. The computer is nice but unbranded. It appears to be a Yolin YL80C, which is a nice computer, but mine appears to be brain-dead and cannot be programmed. (No manual was provided but I found the computer online and downloaded the manual). This means that it CANNOT be switched from the default kilometers to miles, so if you live in the US, you'll have to be happy with all display functions in metric. The bike arrived quickly, but the box was damaged and had been opened and resealed with tape. It appears that it had been returned by the previous owner. Assembly was not difficult, but the instructions were poorly written and of little help. After assembly, I found that the computer would not start unless I removed the bicycle's main battery and reinstalled it. Customer service was responsive and instructed me to press the battery life button to "activeate" the battery before each ride, which took care of the issue. It would have been nice if this was noted somewhere in the instructions. Overall, it's a very good bike at a good price once you get past the above issues and don't mind the limitations of the computer system. ... show more
