I bought two of these for my Slim Jim trash cans. They both fit very well, and they look great. There is, however, a minor design flaw. The mechanism used to self-close the panels apparently works on a counter weight in the underside of the lid. It’s not heavy enough to close them consistently. They auto close about 50% of the time. And, if you use the trash bags that were specifically designed for these cans and lids, the panel doors for the lid easily gets caught by the bag and won’t close. This requires you to reach into the can and manually un catch them from the bag and close them manually. In doing so anything that you dropped into the can and is still on the outside of the lid gets all over your hands. I hope an improved version comes out soon. ... show more

Needed a slim trash can for my kitchen. Bought 2 from home depot, but they didn't sell the tops. Purchased alternative hoping they fit and they do. Waiting for the second top im using for recycle.

Whatever mould process used to make these doesn’t quite do a good enough job with the doors. You can see where parts weren’t fully moulded or cut out, so the doors tend to stay somewhat open. It does add a little bit of height to the bin below, but these don’t latch on at all. So don’t expect to overfill the bin and be able to carry it without this top piece coming off. ... show more

I ordered 2. Both flaps get kind stuck returning, and one arrived broken - the shipped box shredded and taped over - so it is warehouse damage, shipped anyway, super clear to see as the blue lid was poking out over half a square foot. Thus management OK'd it going on the door with damage. That lid was knocked out when it arrived - I put it back together. No biggie. Buuuut it won't return when pushed down like the others, so something's wrong with it. Biggie. 3 stars cause its the cheapest around. These are perfect for our matching 23 gallon tall trash cans. I like them because I can chuck leftover ingredients in while I'm prepping a meal in the kitchen, without having to constantly step on a foot switch for a garbage can. They swing well, keep themselves closed when trash isn't passing through them. Fit the cans perfectly. For these being an Amazon generic, they're actually really high quality.
