  • Not for me!
The super-ergonomic design is comfortable but it also requires a LOT of wrist movement to move the cursor across 2 - 3 monitors and makes it difficult to use fingers to zero in on the click target. It's almost exhausting to use for work. I switched to Logitech Signature M650 Large Size mouse for much better comfort and performance. ... show more

  • Was a decent mouse until the scroll wheel died
This mouse worked fine once I got used to the odd shape of it. It lasted maybe a year under daily use then the scroll wheel started cutting in and out, working only intermittently. For the price it should be more durable than this.

  • A solid mouse
I bought this after seeing how similar it looks to a Logitech mouse. And since it is a Amazon Basics mouse, I decided to give it a try. And we’ll, it is a mouse. It works, feels ok and gets the job done. But it does not feel like or have the weight of a Logitech MX mouse. Am I pleased with it? Yeah, it works. ... show more

  • Don't buy - thing has a mind of its own
The mouse feels good in hand after a day of use. However the major flaw is the curser will move and scroll up without warning. I tried redownloading drivers and checking updates to no avail. This is a major problem when working in spreadsheets for 8 hrs a day. I have gone back to my cheapo 5 buck mouse I had before. I don't recall what I paid for it, but this isnt worth it. Buy a name brand. ... show more

  • Not good for medium to large hands
The price on this is really good and quality seems strong, however if you have medium or large hands, this won't work for you. I have medium (female adult) size hands and this was way too small to give me any support or relief.

  • A Comfortable Mouse With Some Confusing Design Choices
Product: Amazon Basics 6-Button Ergonomic 2.4GHz Wireless Mouse with mechanical fast scrolling - Black I got this mouse primarily for the ergonomic design and the forward/backward buttons on the side. My last mouse had these buttons, and I got very used to them. My “spare” mouse doesn’t have them, and I was really missing them. I don’t spend a whole lot of time on the computer, and I’m not using it for 8 hours a day for work. I’m mainly doing things in the browser, emails and typing in documents when using the computer. For those tasks, it’s working fine for me. I have long fingers and find the mouse comfortable. The mouse installed quickly without any hitches by just plugging the receiver in and turning the mouse on. Two AA batteries needed are included. The picture for how the batteries go in wasn’t really clear, but I got it right the first time. The battery closest to the mouse in the picture is the battery that goes in first on the bottom. The holder for the receiver on the bottom of the mouse holds it securely. Some of the buttons are the biggest issue I’ve found. The mouse has 3 DPI settings for how fast the mouse moves. It appears that it was set initially to the fastest setting, and I had a cursor out of control. Just the slightest movement of the mouse would send the cursor soaring across the screen. It seemed to move by itself at times. On all the other mice I’ve had with DPI settings, you changed it with the button below the scroll wheel. Since I didn’t *think* I really needed to read the instructions for a mouse, it took me a bit to realize the button to change the DPI was on the bottom of the mouse. It’s small, but it’s there. Once I set the mouse on the middle speed, it’s been fine for me. The button below the scroll wheel is like the middle click scrolling or scrolling with the wheel depressed. If you do a lot of scrolling that way, you’ll probably not like this mouse. It’s awkward at best. I’ve yet to figure out what clicking the scroll bar actually does except have the wheel go from rolling smoothly and quietly to making the clicking sound when scrolling. I don’t know if there’s a configuration problem or what. I’m on Windows 11. I also haven’t been able to open links by clicking the scroll wheel. I don’t usually do that, but if you do, it’s something to consider. The left and right buttons also are rather loud when clicking. This isn’t a quiet mouse when using it. Overall, I like the comfort of this mouse and some of the functions. It does seem more sensitive to movements than other mice I’ve used, and it’s taking me a bit of time getting used to it. ... show more
