  • Fun way to master the letters
I always loved Bingo as a child but there are so many other fast paced things to do now. But I thought I'd try it. Our new 5YO is beginning to read and though she has mastered her capital letters, she does not feel quite as comfortable with the lower-case ones. So, this is perfect to get her up to speed. The thing that I like is that they must search for the letters so they must be aware and know that time may be of the essence since someone else could win with the same letter. Well, we all know that parents can be very slow at finding a winning letter but when several kids are playing, they must be a little more alert! The bingo cards are 2-sided, with capitals on one side and lower case on the other so you need to keep each case of cardboard letters for drawing separate. Also, when you have a letter on your card, there are cute little stars to use as markers. This is a great game with learning as an added benefit. I wish I had gotten it a year or two ago! ... show more

  • various uses
I am working on teaching my son the alphabet and this is great! Right now, we are using it to match uppercase letters together. For example, I'll lay out all the uppercase letters, pick a card, and then we go through the card in order and I'll ask him which one matches then I tell him the letter and have him repeat it after me. After this, we will move on to lowercase, and after that we will match lowercase to uppercase and vice versa. Once he has all that, we can use this for our alphabet bingo. I think games like this as great because even though they are simple, they can be used in so many way and are educational and not over-stimulating. ... show more

  • Well made
This is a cute alternative to regular bingo. The cards, markers and tokens are sturdy. The directions come with are variety of ways to play. The only downside is that there are not enough tokens if you want to play blackout.

  • Cute game
Cute game with 4 game boards of heavy, glossy cardboard and the markers are stars of a similar material. The whole alphabet lower and upper is represented along with pictures of the sounds they make. I could make it more complex but reading the sounds rather than showing the letters. I'm starting off easy so we can work on plan recognition particularly of capital letters. The game card is a 4x4 so it moves a little faster unless you're going to fill the whole card. No mixing bag but you can use the box to mix like we do. ... show more

  • 6 year old loves
My 6 year thought this game was great and her older siblings even enjoyed a few rounds just for the sake of playing bingo. Rather than facing all the cards down, we kept them in the box and took turns blindly pulling them. Initially we would mix and match upper and lower case so no matter what type of letter was called, the player could mark it regardless of which side of the playing card they were using. Then to make a round last a little longer, the players could only mark letters if they matched upper/lower case. We have another learning bugs game and the quality is great. The pieces are very sturdy and will hold up over time. ... show more

  • Simple, fun & well made
This alphabet bingo set has 4 bingo cards that are double sided , lowercase on one side and uppercase on the other. The star tokens (48 total, 12 for each board) are easy to pop out as are the alphabet cards. The alphabet comes in both uppercase and lowercase and I like that each letter has a red underline that helps with directionality of the letters. Each piece is made of very thick glossy cardboard. The pieces are well sized for little hands. Overall this is a fun product for my little learners. ... show more

  • Fun practice for learning the ABC's
This is a great bingo set designed well to learn upper and lowercase letters. The pieces are made of durable cardboard, the illustrations are bright, and the game is simple. There is an instruction pamphlet with a few ideas for games if you need them. There are enough bingo "cards" for four players; an additional participant would serve as the "caller". The game fits well in the storage box, and the whole thing is rather compact. Highly recommend this for preschoolers mastering the alphabet. ... show more
