I'm a beginner and wanted something that I could use to exercise and to relax. Pros: Everything included in box Air valve had no leaks or weak spots, stayed secure in and out of water Paddle was easy to adjust for heights between 5'0-6'2" Good grip on board top Carrying straps are long nail friendly Bungee cords are secure but can hold a decent amount Easy to set up (use an air compressor!), deflate, and put away and carry Can carry about 350lbs and still perform well (two separate bodies) Cons: Takes a while and a lot of strength to inflate manually (did this when I first received it to test for leaks in the valve or seams), but can be done Deflation is loud at first if you're sensitive to sound Paddle will collect water but not at an alarming rate where you can't empty between strokes Folding can sometimes be challenging to get the right portion but it eventually evens out to put in the bag ... show more

We bought two of these for our family to use and we love them. We've been out on them 4 times in the last couple of weeks and they appear to be high quality. Great durability for a good price. Performance wise they seem good but we're new at this and can only compare them to the beginner rigid SUPs we tried in Hawaii. At first they felt a bit wobblier than we expected (likely because they are inflatable and ride on top of the water) and we were comfortable by the end of the first outing. Both of our elementary school boys can paddle and balance on them just fine. Both pumps worked as expected and the pressure gauges are fully functional. It just takes a whole lot of pumping even past when you think the SUP might be full to get up to the air pressure to start to register on the gauge. I think we could handle pumping one manually regularly but with two boards we've ordered an electric pump. A few quick tips to help with any air leaks around the inflation valve when pumping up: 1. Use the little wrench that's provided to cinch the valve by following the included instructions. 2. The pump comes with two little rubber o-rings - one already attached to the SUP end of the hose and another floating in the bag. We found that the one in the bag is a little thicker than the one already attached to the hose and seals better with valve, especially when it's put on with the groove facing outward. 3. Make sure the air release pin is in the up (fill) position before you attach the hose to start pumping, otherwise a bunch of air escapes when you detach the hose and you'll have to redo all that hard work to get back up to 15psi again. We're knocking off 1 star because of the questionable quality of the carrying bag. It appears to be a pretty good design with nice hip belts and padding in all the right places and has compression straps to keep things from shifting around. The zipper is not particularly heavy duty though and the stitching seems a bit weak. Some of the stitching in the compression straps is already pulling out and we're not cinching them overly tight. All that being said, we have no regrets buying the pair of these and recommend them to anybody looking for a quality budget SUP. ... show more

I bought two of these boards on Amazon day to replace boards we lost in a wildfire that burned my home to the ground. They arrived on different days as they were shipped from different locations. They seemed to be a decent, low cost choice and looked to be a medium quality product. Not too fancy, not too cheap. We took them to the lake, inflated them to the recommended pressure, and went out on the water. After about 30 minutes, the board was obviously deflating and I rowed furiously to get back to shore. 5 PSI by the time we got back, 8 fornthe other board. Both boards were leaking, but at different rates. The other board held air for about ten minutes longer with no load. We reinflated the boards and checked for the location of the leaks. Both were leaking where the PVC piece that holds the valve assembly is glued to the rest of the board. It didn't make much noise, but was a constant, quiet hiss that I could not hear unless I put my ear to the leak. If I had gone further out, or not noticed the board was deflating as soon as I did, it could have been a serious or life threatening situation. Thank goodness I didn't take my dog or any younger family members, as that would have divided my attention or masked the leak a little longer. The fact that these leaks were in the same location on the boards, and theynwere likely not manufactured at the same time (as they were from different locations) indicates a systemic quality issue and not a one time defect. If you get one of these boards, make sure you stay in close to shore and don't take anything that will sink or can't get wet until you are sure they don't have the same quality issue I had. ... show more

Very good material. Seams are coming unglued around plug area(expected for a repeat-folding raft) No leaks though. Pumping is hard, after initial inflation, to achieve the full 12-15 psi. My back gets tight after. (Makes it easier to push a regular pump hose inside original hose and get it inflated until the tougher psi is required) Maybe 30-or so pumps(after initial inflation) to get it to the 12-15psi ... show more

UPDATE!! Replacement arrived with all the components. No leaks and it performed great on our 1st paddle!! Arrived well packaged but missing the detachable fin. Emailed AKSPORT per the instructions for any missing parts. We did however inflate it and tried it in the pool. It’s sturdy, has well placed carry straps and d rings. Unfortunately , the next morning we discovered it was leaking at the valve. We took video and sent a second email to AKSPORT. After 2 emails over 2 days with no response, we chose to return to Amazon and have a replacement sent. I will update once we receive the replacement. If you have issues, don’t waste your time emailing AKSPORTS, just return to Amazon. ... show more
