  • Came out much better than salon!!
Style: Hair Color Dye Color: 3NN Darkest Intense Brown
I've been getting my hair colored at the salon due to some greys on my temple. I thought I'd try doing it myself to save money :) I'm glad I did some research and found this product, because it came out perfect! I have naturally black fine hair with some brown tones. I also have old highlights, which I have been told many times that they don't usually color over it since it will just fade and the highlight will show through again. I went with the 3NN, even though I've been reading to go 1 to 2 shades lighter and also read a review that said their hair turned jet black. So my hair did turn pretty black, but I'd rather go darker than lighter to see how the color will turn out on my hair. In the future, I may mix the 3NN with some 4N. The process was simple enough with the right tools, but I can definitely use improvement in application. So I didn't read whether it should be measured by weight vs. volume. I ended up doing volume (which I later read it should be by weight) - it still turned out well. I started putting the color in the grays, then all over the roots. After 30 min., I went ahead and colored the rest of my hair with the old highlights, and left it for another 10 min. Right before shampooing, I spread the color all around my hair. I didn't by the starter kit, so I used L’Oréal Paris Moisture Sulfate Free Shampoo and Redken Acidic Bonding Concentrate Intensive Treatment. I had to rinse a couple of times until the water ran clear. With that, my hair came out quite soft after blow drying. It's been a week now and the color has not faded. My hair is also not overly dry or damaged (just what is expected with color). Also, there was no stinging on my scalp, which I always had at the salon! I know my greys will grow out (already seeing it after a week), but I'm happy I'm able to save at least $50 in doing this at home vs. the salon. ... show more

  • The color it’s beautiful
Style: Hair Color Dye Color: 8RC Strawberry Blonde
Since I've been using the strawberry blonde shade not only have I achieved the color I desired, but my hair has also become noticeably healthier. Since I don't have any grays, I only need to dye my hair once a month. The color has been absolutely stunning and my hair feels stronger, shinier, and more nourished than ever before. It's truly remarkable how this product has transformed not only my hair color but also the overall health of my hair. ... show more

  • The real deal
Style: Hair Color Dye Color: 5A Medium Ash Brown
I have tried so many hair colors out there. I went from a Aveda salon to several different box brands at target to my stylist using Wela, which was at the top of the list. My colorist changed her schedule, however, and I cannot get an appointment for four weeks so I tried this brand. Unbelievable. I saved myself $140. The color is rich, my hair is shiny, and I will definitely use this again. ... show more

  • Color 1v not worth mess for violet hue
Style: Hair Color Dye Color: 1V Plum Black
Good color I actually bought this because my local Sally store was out and I wanted to try this color this color is a level one meaning black, it also has the V meaning meaning a Violet hue or shine. My hair is colored not splatchy. Covered nicely and feels nice in my hair. However, it's not worth the mess of application. And Rinsing, it's mainly purple in the dye and on my scalp. So I'll just stick with black. My hair is naturally a level 2 almost black. But I do have a few Grays. I probably will not buy this again due to the messiness of the purple that did not stay in my hair. I may buy this brand in the future just not this color. ... show more

  • ASH 🫶🏻
Style: Hair Color Dye Color: 7AA Double Ash
I gave this brand a try after I read one of the reviews, of a lady and her grand return to Slavic ash-brown hair color. If she didn't attach her results I would have never believed it. I've been struggling to get rid of brassiness in my hair color for decades! There is not a brand that I have not tried, but I'm glad the search is over. I also used 6AA with 7AA (20 vol developer) and the results speak for themselves. The ammonia smell is nasty, but the consistency is very nice and spreads like butter. Two tubes were enough for my long hair. UPDATE: After 7th wash, most of the ash/greenish tint bled out, but it's not the reddish brown it used to be. Any other brand washed out after 2-3 washes and back to the brass. So I'm still impressed and still enjoying it. My hair looks healthier and shinier, but that's probably the shampoo and conditioner change (Giovanni: no frizz and deep shine) ... show more

  • Color Results Off
Style: Hair Color Dye Color: 10G Very Light Golden Blonde
This did dye my hair, but, I ordered 10g, the golden light blond. I use #20 developer to cover white hair. My hair turned out as 8n, Strawberry Blond. I read on another review that this happened on the same color with white hair, and another who had bleached their hair first. This will be the third review with the same issue. I won't change it simply because I know what damage my hair will go through to do that. I did expect it to possibly turn to yellow, but that was not the case at all, it's too red. Other than this, my hair turned out soft, no after dying stiffness. There was a bit of that peroxide smell after, but not bad. I am using L'Oreal sulfate free color protection shampoo and conditioner. This seems to be good dye if you have course white hair like I do. The last time I used L'Oreal, it failed to color completely and within a week it was washing out. I had used it for years, but as my hair turned white, it required more touch ups. I gave up on dying my hair for a long time. Did some research and this dye was recommended for grey or white hair. More importantly, get the #20 developer. That is what opens the hair to receive the dye. ... show more

  • Dark Ash Blonde 👍
Style: Hair Color Dye Color: 7A Dark Ash Blonde
I’ve had highlights for years and it’s damaged my hair so decided to go a bit darker. Have tried several brands and shades - this is the only one that didn’t turn my hair orange. My natural hair is probably a level 7 and the 7a dark ash blonde worked great and neutralized the brassy orange brown. I’m sold. ... show more

  • Works
Style: Hair Color Dye Color: 8NNG Medium Intense Golden Blonde
I’m a hairdresser and this works as good as any. I see a lot of mixed reviews - if you have bleached hair this may Pull the toner color. Will not be accurate if your hair is previously colored either. Always do a test strip first before applying all over . A hairdresser can control A lot of this by mixing colors to achieve the right tone. Don’t Apply to the ends of your hair first . ... show more
