I purchased this pergola to put on my backyard patio. The item arrived and was missing parts. I had numerous emails between ABC canopy customer support. I told them exactly what parts I was missing. I sent them numerous pictures that they requested. Everytime they sent another email back wanting more from me. Needless to say after several attempts with this company, not based in the USA. I finally ended up getting Amazons customer service involved. The Amazon service immediately sent me out a replacement. I still had to box up the other one and get it to the UPS store to send back to Amazon. That was not easy for me as its a heavy item, 2 person carry. This pergola is not real sturdy. we realized that with 16 mile per hour winds. We put cement pavers under each leg and srewed them down. Now its okay. I bought the pergola with the rounded top, thinking the rain would run off it better.....Dont bother! the canopy is not waterproof and the water pools on top of it. Now I take the canopy off evreytime it rains. we took it off the rods, got some tarp tie downs and budgie them to the legs for easier removal. Shop local for this kind of item. That way if its not right its easier to return......lesson learned ... show more

It took us approximately 6 hours to assemble the many pieces. Also, rain water pools on top of it and we have to use a stick to get the water off the top. Otherwise, we like it a lot and we’re glad we got it.

I do not recommend this unless you want the hassle of water pooling in the gaps after every rain. I had tried modifications with pool noodles in the top middle bar.....clamps to hold the cover tight because the ones don't secure it. The awning is impossible to keep flat ans smooth. The seem in the middle isn't helping anything either. ... show more

Box came in damaged with holes and missing parts, contacted the company and they shipped out the parts we needed only took a little while since they’re over seas but we finally got the parts and everything is great we enjoy the gazebo and is made with quality material. Blocks the sun really well, isn’t water proof but keeps the rain off of us while we’re in the hot tub.so it repels the rain good enough for our needs ... show more

I’ve been looking for the right gazebo or pergola for my backyard since we love to be outdoor. I’m so glad I saw this after months of searching and going back and forth with different product type. I prefer metal product and this is real metal. This item is heavy so definitely need 2 people to carry. 2 people to assemble and install but very sturdy and I appreciate that we have an option of sliding the sheet from side to side depending on where we need it to be shaded. This outdoor pergola adds a space to entertain and shade to your outdoor area. It measures 10 by 10 feet providing a decent amount of space to place an outdoor furniture underneath. The pergola is made of a powder coated steel structure that has not yet rusted. While it does seem to be built with high grade materials, it makes the shipping box extremely heavy. Our delivery man drug the box to the door and it caused several pieces to be damaged by rubbing against concrete. It has been difficult attempting to get replacement parts, but they are apparently on their way now. A retractable design makes the canopy simple to open and close. In addition to providing privacy, the pergola makes an inviting outdoor area that offers sun protection. One of the largest benefits of this pergola is the limited maintenance required to upkeep unlike traditional wood requiring routinely staining. ... show more

Item as promised. Directions could have been somewhat easier to follow. Don’t know how sturdy, not a lot of places to weigh it down. The spikes are really not adequate and the “awning “ part should be vented. We did put sandbags at the base of each leg. But so far so good. Hopefully it will make it through a Chicago area summer.
