SelfieShow 71" Phone Tripod & Selfie Stick came within a day of ordering it and in a nice box with instructions and a spare CR1635 button battery to power up the simple Bluetooth wireless remote. The manufacture tries to cover a lot of use bases for this device. Stick extends 71inch, works as a tripod, trigger remote, universal phone holder with 1/4inch screw mount for cameras and whatevers. I am awed that it is really not a light small stick. It is rather hefty at almost a pound, has a wide grip, when closed is 13inch long, so another use could be as a club. Sitting on the ground in tripod mode and fully extended makes stick precarious. Adding an expensive fragile camera should include caution. It is not easily carried in a handbag, pocket, or fits in my car’s glovebox. Remote can dislodge if stick gets banged about. The extension -this might be good or bad- is hard to pull out. I used stick to hold a phone to document a building project. The remote was an added benefit. Used for this specific purpose stick had good value at a low cost. ... show more

After traveling to Brazil with my wife, we regretted that we didn't have a selfie stick like this. I was not convinced it would be easy to use and carry, but after ordering and trying this one out, we are more than convinced that it is easy to use, to bring with us on trips, and it's very responsive and practical. The only thing that we weren't thrilled about was the tripod function. It works but I wouldn't call it very stable. It, especially in a windy or rocky environment. However, I don't see us using it as a tripod often. We have professional cameras with professional tripods. This is overall a great budget priced selfie tripod! Perfect for taking on vacation or however you choose to utilize it. It holds your phone (horizontal or vertically) for taking pictures or video. It also comes with a built in/removeable bluetooth camera clicker. It clicks into the base of the tripod. It's pretty easy to set up and use. The clicker itself is very small and can be easy to lose if you're not careful. It's also not the widest base, so you need to be careful to set it up in a way that it won't fall over. The only cons are: the extension pole isn't easy to stretch out, it's pretty tight. It's not the best quality telescoping pole. Also, the base is not that wide, so you need to make sure and set it up in a flat area without too much wind if you're using it outdoors. Overall, I would recommend this product. ... show more

The tripod is not really sturdy so you have to be careful where you place it. That said it does work great for what we needed it for. We use it mainly in the house so it does sit on level ground. I remember selfie-sticks. Lightweight telescoping rods. Spring loaded clips to hold the phone. Short cable to connect the phone to the stick. Push the button and take a photo. Simple right? Well - this telescoping rod extends out almost 6' and it is study enough to support even the heavier phones in use today. It does use spring clips to hold the phone but it does have a mount point for a typical photo tripod mount. Extra light? small camera? go-pro? all are potential options to use with this. The short cable is gone - replaced by a bluetooth connection to your phone. And taking this freedom an additional step, the 'button' on the handle can be removed and you can use the bluetooth button up to 50' away. But how can you use a selfie-stick from 50'? The handle on the stick opens up and acts like a tripod. So not only do you get a selfie stick but you even get a selfie tripod! The utility value of this has taken over from where the selfie-stick began. ... show more
