I swapped out my 16 gallon water heater for this tankless one. I had to build a small frame around the opening because my water heater is a little bigger than 5his unit. Wiring was easy, there is plenty of wire to put the remote in a convenient location. I did this project in the afternoon after I got home from work so I would call it a simple project for anyone to take on. This is a superior product. It's well designed, extremely easy to install, and performs as advertised. I hope it lasts many yeays and i do not see why it wouldn't. We replaced the original, cheap POS 12 gallon water heater wich came as original equipment in our Keystone Retreat. Keystone should be EMBARRASED by their poor craftsmanship and choice of materials/appliances. This tankless water heater is the only way to go! ... show more

After dealing with a failing Atwood 6 gallon hot water tank for longer than we should have this unit has been fantastic. Heats the water quickly. It’s been nice to take as long of a shower as we want and not have any drop in temperature at all. With the temperature set to the highest setting of 124 degrees Fahrenheit it takes maybe 15 seconds to get to full temp and it stays there. We have found that 115 is more than hot enough and will require a little cold to make it comfortable. Even with cold water temperatures going in it still has no issues getting to temp. It was also very easy to install. Slightly smaller than the hole from the Atwood unit so we had to put in a piece of wood about 4 inches wide to take up the space. Highly recommend this unit. UPDATE. This unit is better than advertised. We have been using it daily for a few months and no issues at all. Even with incoming water temperatures in the low 40 degree range the only issue we had was the need to drop our temp setting a few degrees. Absolutely recommend this as an upgrade for any rv or home application. ... show more

    • Perfect Replacement for the old 6-gallon RV water heater.

I had the old style, 6-gallon water heater in my RV. The electric heating element failed, so I had to use it with gas. My original intention was to just replace the heating element, but when I examined the tank, it had enough rust on it to warrant replacement. This unit was half the cost of a replacement tank-style water heater, was less than half the weight, and less than half as big, so I actually got some extra room in the water bay. It works perfectly, and we can now take as long a shower as we want without running out of hot water. The old one let you know when you were done, and the next person had to wait a while for the water to heat up again. It only runs when you need hot water, and the lag-time for the water at the tap or shower to get hot is only a little longer than the old tank unit. The display lets you know the status of the water heater anytime you feel like looking at it, and it is a little quieter than the old unit, too! It looks to be well built, too. I can recommend this product to anyone who is either replacing an old unit, or is looking to upgrade to tankless. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. 1) poor product, inconsistent temps. Large fluctuations in temps when using. 2) come with door but does not fit majority of old units being replaced. RV modfications took days to close up. 3) Installation was much, (other than door cover) much easier than anticipated. too bad inconsistent temps! Now has stopped working at all week after install. No error codes, no ignition at all. Tested unit when installed and worked for couple of days. The RV modifications to cover the large space left took days to completeWe will see how their CustServ handles and change rating accordingly. A lot of money for all the hassles. 1/17/24 Contacted their CService <service@raneinrv.com> They responded late same dayas they are in China 12-13 hour difference. Tried a few things they suggested. Like shutting off all other gas units to see if it would then work, It did not. Does this mean it would possibly not work if you use other gas appliances?? Not good They said they would replace, send new one. This is a BIG deal as it took days to modify the RV to cover the gaping whole left as this unit about 1/3 size of the replaced unit. Now modification has to be completely disassembled to install/replace. Plus the hassle to ship back the old one. No idea how long new one will take to deliver. 1/22 5 days later and STILL not shipped replacement. No hot water. Amazon CS, she was absolutely worthless, said nothing she can since past 30 days. No kidding genius, that what happens when you completely install it and fails short time later. Numerous time said she will take no action, totally passes the buck. ... show more

Would recommend this for everyone with an Rv fits great works great. Will be getting another one for my newer Rv soon. Uses way less propane than tank HWH Love it. OH cheaper than a new tank heater. 👍👍👍👍👍
