  • Bang for the Buck, Hard to Beat
Size: 72MM
Haters are going to hate. The price made me very skeptical, the smaller group of very negative reviews gave me pause. I decided that in the worst case scenario, I can send them back. I am using the 72MM filter set on a Nikon Z6 with the 24-70MM FX lens for professional video production of outdoor B-reel. UV filter: Clear, minimal added distortion, no visible defects in the filter, provides a small added degree of crispness to outdoor images in partly-cloudy and full sun situations. CPL: Color me really impressed. For the money, the performance is in a word - amazing. Excellent for removing glare and reflection off of water and glass, while brightening blues. Does soften focus but within acceptable ranges. Adjustment is easy. I am shooting with an Atomos Ninja V so the larger display enables me to dial in the CPL with more precision. ND4: Useless, hence the 4 stars. As others have noted the ND4 filter adds a lot of brown tones to your images. I did use it on a beach where I was shooting some surf images in lousy midday light with high clouds. It helped but the gray rocks turned decidedly brown. If you're an expert at Photoshop/Premiere you can adjust to fix, but it will take some time. I also found that the ND4 softened the focus worse than the other filters, where some video was unusable for our work. If you're buying this for the CPL and the UV, it is still well worth the money even if you toss the ND4. Having dropped a 24-300MM FX lens with a UV filter on it (not this one) to find the UV filter cracked to pieces, I am a huge fan of using a UV or clear filter to protect your glass full time. This represents dirt cheap insurance, and additionally, a quality CPL that rivals other choices that are 3X or 4X the cost. ... show more

  • 1-Stars are Defects. These Things Really Work
Size: 40.5MM
I think the 1-star reviewers here should ask for a replacement. I am using these filters on a Sony Alpha A5000 and man - they're fantastic. My original intention was to get some cheap filters to put on a decent camera and maybe get my boyfriend interested in photography. I figured the UV filter would keep dust off the lens and didn't expect much from the polarizer. Most of the time I have been using just the UV or the UV + The Polarizer. I stack them, the UV never comes off the lens. Both filters can be removed freely when I want to, and zero of my photos so far have shown lens flare. A few have shown double images but I'll explain that in a moment. One thing you have to understand is that a polarizer fights your camera's autofocus. It darkens the image, and it would seem that the act of polarizing the light makes the camera think things are in focus when they are not. I've seen this on lots of fairly nice Nikon and Sony cameras (never used a Canon, I assume it'll be the same there). When your camera autofocuses poorly, you get a double image. That's all there is to it. You should adjust your viewfinder's diopter if you're seeing a clear image but it's fuzzy when you snap it. You should also be paying attention to your focus indicator because usually your camera knows when something is wrong with the focus. I attached two pictures - both with UV filter and polarizer stacked. One of a seeding salsify and one of text. Both shot at F/9 The Salsify is shot at ISO 200 outside The text is shot at ISO 1600 inside Both clear and crisp because I didn't point and shoot - I took the time to get a good shot. Bad optics are bad - but it is the responsibility of the photographer to get good results - be that exchanging a defective filter or spending some time to figure out why your camera is struggling to capture a sharp image. Less than fifteen bucks got me a set of filters that work as described - and make a nice addition to any camera - mirrorless or DSLR. ... show more

  • Good product, but...
Size: 62MM
They are good filters and get the job done, but seems I got used ones delivered. Got them dirty and one of them with signs of scratch/wear, like someone used them for a couple of days maybe and then returned them
