Pros: very easy to assemble looks and feels sturdy Cons: described as ergonomic it is very unwieldy corroded extremely quickly surprisingly ineffective at sifting wet sand I am very disappointed in this tool. I found it very unwieldy. Perhaps a much stronger person could handle it but I have no way to know. It was very easy to put together and there was no wobblyness in the handle. I took it down to the beach and tried to use it for less than an hour. Immediately I washed it thoroughly and left it in the hot sun and a strong breeze. Later, I tried using it again, varying ways of handling it in case it was just a matter of a learning curve. No significant improvement. Again, I washed it immediately. All together I used it less than two hours and never left it dirty. Even so, there was noticeable corrosion showing up in several places. I am returning it. I am very disappointed ... show more

This rake is large and in charge. It is really heavy duty so it will get the job done - whatever that job is. I like that I can break it down when I want to. My kids love going to the beach. They spent hours going through the sand to find shells. I got this rake for them to make it more efficient. It is made with thick gauge metal, so it is quite sturdy. The assembly is straightforward, which took only a couple minutes. However, I got cut on the handle when I was taking it out of the box. I've been closer inspection, you can see the shop metal sticking out from the edge of the handle, as shown in the picture. This would have been a five star product if it wasn't for the poor finish. Anyway, the problem was quickly fixed with a steel wool. Overall, I still recommend this product for as long as you know you may have to spend an extra minute to get rid of the sharp edges. ... show more

I used this this past weekend to gather sand fleas for Pompano, and it worked well. The wet sand is pretty hard to push through, but this rake was solid and the "teeth" helped cut through the sand and small shells fairly easily - especially for the width. I was able to get a few dozen fleas in no time and got to fishing sooner. (And I did catch my Pompano dinner that day). ... show more
