Ikea, has gotten even cheaper. I would rather pay extra and get metal cam locks. My wife bought an end table about two weeks ago from Ikea, and we broke over half of the cam locks before we could finish it. These are a perfect replacement.

I purchased things a while ago to help my mother construct a fireplace, and then immediately forgot about them they're gone know... But they did get there early and they felt pretty sturdy, so she's alright.

I bought these because an entertainment center I was using had too much weight on top and bent one of the included cam locks, allowing one side of the center to separate from the unit. It was easy enough to replace the broken cam lock and once I had the entertainment center on its side I saw where two others were pulling out to another point of failure. Fortunately, these were sold as a set of 20 so there were plenty of spares to proactively replace those other cams. These seem like a trivial purchase, but with so much furniture being held together by cam locks, it's probably better to have a handy supply. ... show more

First one deformed right away. The second one I was much more gentle with… and it held okay. They seem to be about the same as the ones included in ikea pax armoire. It chewed up the frame a bit and isn’t pretty, just a heads up.

    • Works well as an IKEA replacement.
This works well as a replacement for IKEA cam lock fitting 113434 (the metal one). I'd managed to snap one of the IKEA ones, and didn't feel like waiting over a week for IKEA to ship me a replacement (or driving an hour to the nearest IKEA). Plus I figured it'd be nice to have more on hand in case this ever happened again. This product grabs and tightens the IKEA cam lock fasteners perfectly. As far as size, the IKEA cam lock fitting is approximately 15mm x 13mm, and this one is listed at 15mm x 12mm. It definitely recesses more than the IKEA one, but I end up covering the visible cam lock fittings with white stickers anyway, so it doesn't bother me too much. ... show more

    • Bought for an IKEA billy bookcase, work but not perfect
I was surprised to find that the IKEA billy bookcases I bough came with plastic versions of these. After managing to break some simply by fitting them I decided enough was enough and bought these. They are good quality and undoubtedly more solid than the plastic ones I replaced. They do sit a little into the recesses (maybe 2 mm in) for them but they work perfectly and my bookcases feel more solid as a result of using these. ... show more
