Installed the exact same way I've installed countless other GM alternators. Took the jeep out and about 3 hours into the trip, noticed the voltage starting to fall, slowly but steadily. Within 2 hours the system voltage had failed to 11.7V. Decided to call it a night and head back to the trailer. When I was unloading the jeep this morning, the alternator was putting out 16-17volts. Long story short, it took the regulator about 2 hours of run time to stop working properly. ... show more

Died in 20min. First start, requires high rev to excite and start charging. Charged at 13.5v. Second start, high revving required. Faded to 12v and stopped charging after 20min.
